we made it to Nairobi. After a plane delay in Denver had us look at rerouting through Istanbul, we got back on track via the original plan: Toronto, Zurich, Nairobi. Met up with our friends Chris and Jane at the Intercontinental Hotel. Off to bed, as 21 hours on a plane has taken its toll. Will update in the next day or so.

Glad you finally made it. When we couldn’t get a hold of you, we figured you were out of the country. Istanbul? That would have been a great story!

BTW, 21 hour trips are even more fun when you get your passport taken, and have to spend the night in the domestic terminal of an airport in China with guards armed with machine guns who watch you all night because you’re dancing to music from your cd player. Yours is probably interesting too though.

Hey Guys,
I can only imagine what an adventure you are on there. I hope to have a similar one someday, for now I will live vicariously thru you two. I am so enjoying all you have written so far and look every day for more. It sounds like these are just as wonderful people as the Guatemalans we visit.
